May 15, 2026 New York The Whitney Museum

Then we were off to the Whitney Museum.  We took two buses that took about 45 min.  The Whitney has predominantly 20th- and 21st-century American art.  It is a smaller museum.  The paintings we like to see are basically on one floor.  The other floors have exhibitions, typically by one artist.  The exhibition often are arrangements of objects, and not necessarily paintings.  To each their own.  We saw most of the exhibitions, but I didn’t take any photos.   We then took off and went back to the hotel to pick up our two small bags and then get to LaGuardia airport for our 6:20 PM flight home.  We got to the airport around 4 PM.  Our flight home, and the El into town were uneventful.  It was a pretty good visit.  We enjoy walking around New York, and we will go back to do more exploring.
