Have some pictures to post, so figured I needed to write a few words.
Not much going on here.  There was a cultural festival that was to open the cultural season this weekend, but it rained Saturday and Sunday.  Too bad.  We walked around the site on Thursday and watched a few minutes of it on TV Friday night.  Supposed to attract 500,000 people.
Went to the 1928 Olympic Stadium on Thursday.  Amazing how small it is.  All brick.  We couldn't go into the stadium cause they were taking down equipment from a concert they had the night before.  It was the first concert since 2000..go figure.  We would pick that day to go out there.  Leonard Cohen was the performer.  Ray likes him.  I can take him or leave him.  He has one GREAT song   "Hallelujah." (I love Everybody Knows,  Closing Time, etc. and cannot understand why Sue doesn't-Ray) We talked to a security guy for a short time.  The stadium is used for sporting events, as it should.  It is an easy tram ride from our front door right to the stadium.
We are going to Croatia on Thursday and onto Italy the following Tuesday.  Croatia is supposed to be very scenic.  We are renting a car for a few days and taking a coastal route to get to the ferry that will take us to Venice.  The highlight of the trip will be seeing The Last Supper in Milan.  It is of course on the 1001 list.  Venice has quite a few pictures too, so we should do well in those two cities.
