Update on the carnival.  There is an entire Carnival crammed into "The Dam".  The carnival runs until next Friday 26OCT.  In the first photo just to the right of the Ferris Wheel is a "Sling Shot" ride.  Two people get into a round cage attached to two giant bungee cords and they get shot into the air.  They then bounce around for a few minutes.  My stomach clenches just imagining it!  The second photo shows the rotating swings in action.  The carnival also has the usual food vendors.
