October 26, 2018 Barcelona Friday 26th
We have really settled in.
We get up about 9-10 o’clock, check the computer to see what has
happened and have a couple of cups of coffee and cereal for breakfast. So we don’t get out of the apartment before
noon, but we are on vacation. Sometimes
it is hard to know if we are on vacation because we are retired, and don’t
really do anything anyway. Speaking of
coffee, we have been looking for the #4 filters for our pour-over coffee. We have been getting by with the wrong type
of filter since we arrived. We have
looked at the local stores without luck.
Starbucks has the ceramic piece that holds the filter, but not the paper
filters. So Sue located the Carrefour
Hyper-market that we hope will have them.
It is 2.2 km from the apartment, so that is our mission for today. The walk took about 45 minutes, and they did
have the filters. The store is gigantic,
I think you can buy just about anything you want there. After the walk there we took the Metro home
where we rested up before going out for dinner.
Dinner was at the Barceloneta Seafood restaurant that is located right
on the water, naturally. Sue had the
baked Sole and I had the Hake stew, both were very good. On our walk home we stopped at Donne’s Irish
Pub for a taste of Irish Whiskey, Tullamore Dew. Now that is how to finish off an
evening. So not many photos today, maybe
I’ll do better today.
