October 27, 2018 Barcelona Saturday 27th
Not much to report, it rained all day so we stayed inside
until we went to mass at the Barcelona Cathedral. Walked to dinner at about 20:00. By this time the rain had stopped and the
weather was pretty nice. This is early
for Spain, but there were quite a few people at Cuines
de Sta. Caterina when we arrived. This
is the place where we learned that there is no fish in Barcelona on a
Monday. Well today they had fish and we
shared the Skate wing with capers and Mussels.
They were both good, the Skate wing is the BEST we’ve ever had. Then it was off to the Obama English Pub for
a nightcap.
When we arrived the rock
(loud) band was just finishing their gig.
Our friendly maître de took us upstairs and move three girls from a
small table to a larger one so we had a seat.
Some older white guy, who was very well dressed was dancing up a
storm. He was at the a large table with
friends and the table was loaded with food.
We had our usual drinks, listened to a single guitar player/singer and
watched a Pro-basketball game between teams from Andorra and Tenerife. Both of those places probably aren’t as big
as Lakeview in Chicago. So today was a
slow day, but tomorrow Steve and Hannah arrive in the late afternoon, and I
think Steve’s schedule has us doing things about an hour later. It will be fun.
