The Open Championship is only on TV for 12 hours today, so I'm taking a break to post a short note. Now that I'm retired I have more time for worthless thinking, and this post is an example. The attached photo shows details from two Rembrandt paintings. The portrait looks to be modeled on the same man to me. There are also a couple of Rembrandt etchings that are of this same guy. A tronie (Dutch for face) is a portrait of a stock or typical character and the subject is not usually identified. Enough of the art lesson, time to get back to Open Championship, and perhaps to have a beer.
