10202019 – Sunday – Amsterdam
We were actually up and out earlier this morning so we could
see the leaders of the marathon. The
marathon started at 9:30, which is late compared to the Chicago race that
starts around 7:00. We got to the 35 km
mark about 10 minutes before the runners, we did kind of calculate what time we
had to leave to get there in time. There
were actually quite a few people along the route, at least where we standing. As you’ll see, I had a bit of an issue with
the orientation of the phone when taking a video. Have I ever told you, NEVER get a new
phone? We watched a few more runners go
by and then we took the long walk home to have another cup of coffee. We will go out later, and surprise visit a
museum. We haven’t picked one out yet,
but we will. We decided to go to the
Stedelijk Modern Art Museum. I put all the marathon and walk about photos in
this album. The second album has too
many photos from the museum. The photo of
each painting is followed by the card with the artist and the title of the
painting. Feel free to skip the second
album. That is all for tonight. Sue has a Garmin fitness watch that counts
her steps. She has over 100,000 steps
this week, and we are both tired.
