Well we went to the Natural History Museum, but when we got there the line to get into a special exhibition stretched around the block.  The special exhibition was about mammoths.  They had full size models and the almost complete baby mammoth “Lyuba”.  You may have seen a show on National Geographic about how she was found in the permafrost in Russia.  Anyway the crowds were there to see her.  We could have gone into the regular museum for free, but the people going to the special exhibition would eventually end up in the regular museum.  So we went to the Science Museum that is next door.  They have some great displays.  I took some photos of the airplanes.  There was also a display of analog computers, Charles Babbage’s mechanical computer, drawing machines really neat stuff.

We then went back to the Tate Britain because I had checked their web site and one of our paintings had been put back on display.  So we saw “Proserpine” by Dante Rossetti, #407 for us.  Then we went back toward home to a different pub for the Sunday Roast.  It was very good, and the Sharing Dessert was even better: salted caramel tart with clotted cream, lemon-lime tart with raspberry sorbet and a chocolate brownie with vanilla bean ice cream.
