June 5 & 6, 2023 Amsterdam

Monday June 5 we went to the Albert Cuyp Market with Hannah and Steve.  The Market is the largest outdoor market in the Netherlands. Many of the stalls are extensions of the stores they are located in front of, but many others are independent stalls.  There are a lot of different foods to choose from.  There are also many souvenir stalls and clothing stalls.  It is a popular place for tourists to visit.  Sue usually gets some chicken and/or fish.  Today we all had wings, kibbeling, mini pancakes and stroopwafels, basically two thin cookies glued together with a sweet syrup, very good.  After the market Hannah and Steve set off to visit more places on their I Am Amsterdam City Cards.  They have visited many of the 70 sites the card covers, but there are a few more for them to see.  We headed back home to rest, we are old after all.  We will meet up with them at the Foodhallen tonight for dinner.  As you can see from the photos in the June 5^th album we all made it to the Foodhallen.  It was great.

Hannah and Steve left for Antwerp, Belgium on Tuesday June 6, they had a 0815 train, which they made without a problem.  They texted when they arrived.  Per Steve’s usual plan they have lot to see and do: 1 day in Antwerp, 2 in Ghent, 1 in Bruges, and 1 in Brussels.  They fly home from Brussels.  We (Sue) went out to do some shopping

I’ve added three photos from Hannah and Steve sent us from Belgium to the album.  Hannah and Steve make the most of their time, and they enjoy themselves.
