Monday 01/01/24 Montserrat
We visited Montserrat today. It is a famous Benedictine Monastery on a rocky mountain about 2.5 hours northwest of Barcelona. We took the L3 subway from Plaça de Catalunya to Plaça Espanya and then a train to `Monistrol de Montserrat. From there we took the Rack Railway train for a 15 min ride up to the Monastery. I took some photos from the train. Sue and I had visited Montserrat before to see a Caravaggio and a 1001 painting at the Museo de Montserrat in 2018. We walked around a bit, and I took more photos. We had lunch and then headed back home.
