MERRY CHRISTMAS
It is a quiet holiday here. The shopping street was bustling yesterday, however.
We went to the evening mass at our Parish of the Blessed Trinity. As always, the music was wonderful. Our priest is Irish, raised in the UK and a real jewel.
Coming home on the tram we noticed a lot of commotion in Rembrandtplein. Firemen, police, a taped off area. Well, one of those giant trees from Norway had fallen over, probably the wind hit it in just the right, or wrong way. Ray has a few pictures. There was no urgency, so we assume no one was under that tree. If so, he would have been a goner.
Ray and I will spend the day in our cozy apartment watching whatever the BBC has to offer on Christmas Day. We purchased some really lovely food from a local shop. We cheated and had the antipasti platter last night after mass.
Hope everyone will have as wonderful a holiday as I know we will have.
We also await the arrival of our kids on Thursday. More fun.
