Friday we took Bob Joan to the Soane’s Museum because we
like it, and it isn’t very big. We then
went back to Belgo, the Belgium restaurant that we’d been to before for
lunch. We had the usual, mussels and
beer.
Saturday we split up.
Sue and I went to Margate to see painting #479 “Portrait of a Young
Woman in Red” by Piet Mondrian that was in an exhibit at the Turner
Contemporary Museum in Margate. Bob
& Joan went to see a play “39 Steps”.
We both had great days. They
loved the play and we loved the Mondrian Exhibit. It had a few of the better known Mondrian
paintings, but many other paintings like #479 that we actually like, and that
we were not aware of. We have seen many
of the abstract Blue, Yellow and Red type paintings, but not the type that were
at this exhibition. Well enough art
talk, tomorrow we are going to a local pub for Irish music, and maybe a little
Irish whiskey.
