We were out early for us and caught the bus at 9:00 to the Tube and then it was a train to Egham.  The Founder’s Building at the Royal Holloway College will be open to the public today as part of Heritage Weekend in the UK.  Places that are not normally open to the public are open this weekend.  We got to the college just as it opened.  The Founder’s Building is neat as you can see from the photos.  The Art Gallery has about 80 paintings.  The Curator told us about the history of the Gallery and the Collection.  The short story is that the collection was the best Victorian art available in the 1880’s.  She went into detail about several paintings including “The Railway Station”, the painting on our list.  It is number 477 for us.  After our visit to the college we walked back to a pub, The Crown that we passed on the way in.  We had the Sunday Roast, what a concept!  This may have been the best Roast we’ve had yet.  Then it was back on the train, tube and bus to get home and rest.  This apartment has Sky Sports so we can watch an NFL game and the PGA Tour Championship, feel Sue’s pain.
