May 25, 2016

Had to return to a few places we had been to last week, to relook at things and to go to a church that was closed the first 2 times we went.  The church was part of the Bernini walk and it ended up being my favorite church.  Teeny tiny, the name is St. Andrea di Quirinal.  Pictures to follow.

Went back to Santa Maria Sopra Minerva to check out stuff we read about after our walk, and then onto the Pantheon again.  Saw Rafael ‘s tomb there.  This is one of the most popular sites in Rome.
I have been bugging Ray about getting a tartufo at a specific place in Piazza Navona, and today we went there.  It consists of dark chocolate ice cream with a chocolate truffle inside covered in a chocolate shell and topped with whipped cream and a wafer.  Not bad.

While Sue rested I went to see the Milvian Bridge where Constantine defeated Maxentius on October 28, 312.
