Wednesday April 11, 2018 (second post today)       Posting Colmar to Dijon March 31, 2018 

The Art Museum in Dijon has a copy of a La Tour painting, BUT that part of the museum is closed until 2019, but we visited anyway.  On our walk to the old town we passed a bar/restaurant The Duke with the interesting sign that is in the photo album.  We did find a store where Sue could buy all the mustard she wanted.  The real issue is getting it home on the airplane.  We will see what happens.

On our walk back to the hotel we stopped at the The Duke to ask if they would be serving food that evening.  The guy, who turned out to be the owner, said yes that they have a meat and cheese plate, and Belgium beer, DONE.  We thought that the owner was an American, he was wearing a beat up cowboy hat, and had very little accent.

Saturday Easter Mass was at 21:00, so we rested a bit before heading back to The Duke for dinner.  The photo of the meat and cheese plate shows we were over fed.  We talked a bit with the owner, I asked him where he was from, and he is from Dijon.  He and his friend who had spent three days in Chicago, and loved it.  We left for church around 20:30 and arrived just in time for the New Fire ritual.  Mass started with the congregation lighting candles.  The candles helped, because it was pretty dark and cold inside the church.  The mass lasted about two hours, then it was back to The Duke for a nightcap.  We had a beer and said goodbye to our new friend.  Tomorrow was going to be busy day, we had three places to visit: two museums and one Olympic site.
